British world class performance rider Emma Hindle and her Hanoverian licensed stallion Lancet sparkled in the World Cup Qualifier in Warsaw, Poland, March 17-19, 2006. With an impressive score of 70.125% in the Grand Prix, Hindle and Lancet captured a second place in a field of 16 competitors. In the Kur to Music, the dynamic duo landed a third place with 73.025%. Aboard her dark bay stallion Lancet (by Wenzel x Shogun xx), Hindle riveted the attention of the judges and crowds and has shown she is ready for the 2006 outdoor show season.

“I was really happy with him. It was the first time that we rode a Grand Prix with no big mistakes,” said a happy Emma Hindle. “I feel that I can finally ride a consistent Grand Prix on him and we can grow from there.”

2006 is a very important equestrian year leading up to the 2006 World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany, August 20 - September 3, 2006. Emma’s foremost goal is earning a spot on the British team for the World Equestrian Games. For many years, she has been an unfaltering member of the British squad and she aspires to be that again at the WEG with Lancet. The Brookhouse Stud owned stallion has world class experience and potential and under the supervision of Jurgen Köschel, Hindle trains to consolidate her place on him amongst the world’s dressage elite.

“We need the whole of the basics to work even better,” Hindle explained, “and mainly get more confidence in each other. We need to trust each other in the tests too, so that we can be even more secure in our performances.”

Emma Hindle has thumb nailed CDI Stadl Paura (April), CDIO Saumur (May), CDIO Aachen (May), CDI Wiesbaden (June) and the CDI Barzago (June) on her 2006 outdoor show season calendar for the road to Aachen. Besides Lancet, she will be showing her upcoming stars Diamond Hit, Chequille Z, Furstenreich and Riccione at small tour level. Furthermore, Diamond Hit, the Oldenburg Breeding Stallion of the Year 2005, and Furstenreich will dip their ‘hooves’ into a few Intermediaire II classes this summer.

In June Hindle will also be riding a demonstration at Windsor Castle (GBR). “We have to give a push to British Dressage to get people back interested in competing in the U.K.,” Hindle said, “especially with the Olympic Games taking place in London in 2012.”
